Great Northern Railway mahogany cased 10 inch fusee clock lettered on the dial BR 12234 with original spun brass bezel. A typical Potts of Leeds supplied clock with shaped movement plates dating it to around 1870. In working condition complete with pendulum and key. The LNER clock records show it was last in use at Doncaster Works Foundry.
Clocks Sold for: £400LB&SCR 10 inch Mahogany cased fusee dial clock with a cast brass bezel, manufactured for the London Brighton and South Coast Railway circa 1889 by Grimshaw, Baxter & Elliott Ltd. The chain driven English fusee movement in fully overhauled condition is of typical London style and has rectangular plates, the white enamel hand painted dial displays the legend, B.R.(S). John Walker 1, South Molton St London 796.B. and the rear of the case has been stamped 796 B. The Southern clock records show that this clock was originally supplied to Tulse Hill, Knights Hill Signal Box and was later transferred to Peckham Rye. In fully working condition complete with pendulum and keys.
Clocks Not sold, reserve: £1,250Nameplate STOKESAY CASTLE ex GWR Collett Castle 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1935 and named Stokesay Castle and numbered 5040. Allocated to Old Oak Common, Swindon and 82B St Phillips Marsh. Withdrawn in October 1963 and scrapped at Coopers Metals Sharpness the following year. In lightly cleaned condition and stamped RIN 5040 in the back.

Smokebox Numberplates Sold for: £1,060London and South Western Railway 8 inch dial mahogany cased fusee clock supplied to the LSWR around 1870 by John walker of London. The rectangular plated chain driven fusee movement has turned pillars and a shaped back cock. The mahogany case has a one piece turned surround, dovetailed back box with one side door and a bottom door with cock beading secured by a brass lock, it also retains its original cast brass bezel. The original dial is lettered L.S.W.R 3598 and has typical John walker heart shaped hands. The Southern Railway clock records show this clock as last being in use at Cosham Signal Box. In working condition complete with pendulum and key. A rare clock that has retained its pre grouping dial writing. And featured in the Railway Clock book by I.P. Lyman page 198.
Clocks Sold for: £2,800Nameplate TREVITHICK ex Southern Railway Maunsell Remembrance 4-6-0 originally built in 1914 as a 4-6-4 Tank by the LBSCR and was rebuilt as a 4-6-0. Numbered SR 2327 and BR 32327. Allocated to 70D Basingstoke, it was withdrawn from there in January 1956 and scrapped later the same year. Face restored. One of only a small class of seven locomotives.
Nameplates Steam Sold for: £7,500Nameplate SHIRBURN CASTLE ex Great Western Railway Collett Castle 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1934 and numbered 5030. Allocations included Exeter, Cardiff Canton, Newport Ebbw Junction, Landore and 87G Carmarthen from where it was withdrawn in September 1962. Scrapped later the same year at Hayes Bridgend. In nicely cleaned condition.

Cabside Numberplates Sold for: £2,000Great Western Railway china FINGER BOWL with Twin Shield Coat Of Arms and REFRESHMENT DEPARTMENT GWR SWINDON to front. This lot was withdrawn as it turned out to be a Modern reproduction item produced in the 1980's. GWRA do Not sell reproductions in our Main sales.
ChinaSouthern Railway Flaman locomotive SPEED INDICATOR/RECORDER with makers name on the front ATELIERS VAUCANSON SOUTHERN RAILWAY 46. Measures 12in wide x 17in tall and is in good condition with a crack to the top glass which could easily be replaced. As used by the Southern Railway in all of the Lord Nelson class locomotives. Loco Items Not sold, reserve: £500Worksplate W. G. BAGNALL LTD ENGINEERS STAFFORD ENGLAND No 2404 ex Great Western Railway Collett 0-6-0 PT built in 1930 and numbered 6723. Allocated to Barry and 87K Swansea Victoria from where it was withdrawn in February 1959. Scrapped later the same year at T. W. Ward Briton Ferry. Oval cast brass in as removed condition measuring 6.5in x 4.25in.
