North Eastern Railway 8 inch oak cased drop dial clock with a wire driven movement. Original dial lettered LNER 1271. The oak case has a bottom door and a side door and retains its original cast bezel. This clock was supplied to the North Eastern Railway circa 1870 by Reid and Son of Newcastle On Tyne and the LNER clock records show it was originally NER clock number 101 and was last in use at Alnwick Station Parcels Office. In original working condition complete with pendulum and key.
