GWR bound volumes of the Great Western Railway Magazines 1905-1947. Most are in very good condition. The GWR Magazine started in late 1888 but in 1905 the page size was reduced to a more manageable format and stayed at that size until 1947, therefore 1905 was the first year that the bound version in the green cloth with leather spine was issued. A chance to obtain a full run of the bound version.

A stunning collection of official Gorton Foundry works photographs in a tooled, gold embossed, leather bound volume from the personal library of Richard Peacock (as identified by a label in the front of the album). Comprising 50 photographs, each approx. 14x10, dated between 1856 and 1864, each annotated with the locomotive details in pencil. London & North Eastern Railway Diagram of Carriage Stock built since 1923. Three volumes, two official hard bound covering diagrams 5 through 376 (with some deliberately missing due to the diagram never built or withdrawn. Each diagram has running Nos and allocation. Third volume is paper bound volume E&NE Regions Doncaster Works up-date, listing build dates of each coach, etc plus loose material. The set was purchased from Stratford Works in early 1960s. A wonderful reference source.

GWR leather bound Book , purple with gold lettering on spine 'G.W.R HRR & RC DEPT - MENUS' A substantial book measuring 14 inches high and 6 inches thick containing a huge amount of GWR and BR(W) Menus. Commencing in 1936 with Alliance Francaise Paddington to Torquay May 20th and Torquay to Exeter the day after. Next HM King Edward VIII Paddington to Tavistock June 3rd 1936; Sir Charles Hambro (with written name on both menus); Lord Mayor of London Party; Grand Union Canal Party; Arrival of RMS Queen Mary at Plymouth 15th March 1937; Ulster Prince; Fry's Somerdale. Then into BR days including Inaugural Voyage SS St David Fishguard to Rosslare and a huge amount more of special visits, special boat trains, HRH Princess Elizabeth Dartmouth to Paddington June 1949 etc. A wonderful record that must have been kept at Paddington Station. Must be viewed to appreciate fully. Includes a copy of the Tavistock newspaper to show King Edward VIII returned to London from the town not by train but by air.
