Worksplate, Andrew Barclay Sons & Co Limited Caledonia Works Kilmarnock No 361 of 1942. Ex standard gauge 0-4-0DM 153hp new to the War Department in February 1942 as number 70046. Renumbered 826 in 1951 and in January 1952 was shipped to Suez. Returned to Bicester Military Railway at the end of the Suez crisis. Latterly used by BAOR in Germany where it was renumbered 126, and named ARNIE. On again returning to Bicester in January 1969 it was first stored and then repaired before going on loan to the Royal Navy at Gosport from November 1971 until March 1975 when it went back to Bicester and was eventually sold to Farthingstone Silos Ltd, Northampton in December 1978. Cast brass oval 16 x11.

North Eastern Railway 12 Oak cased drop dial fusee Clock, by Potts & Sons of Leeds, circa 1870. The chain driven fusee movement with heavy plates and turned ringed pillars is in good condition and the case still has its original finish and is in excellent condition. The original dial has been repainted by the LNER post 1923 but NER is clearly visible as ghosted writing. Research from the LNER clock records show this clock as ending up being located at Doncaster Works Chief Mechanical and Electrical Engineer R shop office. A nice example of this type of clock and in full working condition complete with key and pendulum.

Manchester Sheffield & Lincoln Railway linen Gradient Maps contained within a leatherette wallet with the cover embossed in gold 'M.S.& L. R. M.S. &L. S.Y. District Joint Lines Gradient 1874'. Contains three separate gradient plans inside, each with full title. A truly remarkable survivor in extremely good condition for age.

LMS enamel Lamp Tablet WYLLIE HALT. Ex LNWR station in Monmouthshire between Pontllanfraith and Ynysddu, closed 13th June 1960. Black lettering on yellow ground, flangeless and mounted on original wooden board with lamp bracket on rear, as removed from the station. A desirable survivor as little ever surfaces from this virtually unknown station. Extremely good condition.

GWR 'art deco' Carriage Lamp with 'cubist' shades. The right angled bracket is brass and clearly stamped 'GWR' in small capitals. The colourful shade is 4 square with green overlapping lines having a brown line style motif in the lower corner. The whole lamp stands almost 6 high and protrudes from the wall by roughly the same distance. Quite remarkable to see such a survivor, particularly in this condition. This is one of a pair entered into this auction, the other appearing under a different lot number.

Taff Vale Railway 12 mahogany cased drop dial fusee Clock circa 1870. The fusee movement is in good condition. The has had its lenticle window blanked out long ago but all the ebony stringing is still there so this could easily be reinstated. It retains its original ivorine plate attached to the left hand side GWR 350. Dial has been repainted by BR to show BR-W and British Railways label still affixed to the rear shows Cardiff Queen Street. Known to have originated from Cardiff Queen Street North Signalbox. A rare clock in excellent condition complete with pendulum and key.

Cheshire Lines Committee Signalbox Diagram STEWART STREET dated 26/8/88. Hand coloured measuring 30 in length. Left hand shows from St Georges Road, right hand from Tiviot Dale. This Cabin was situated between two tunnels so was pretty isolated and there seems to be no reference to it at all. What a wonderful survivor. Together with BR Signalbox Diagram CUDDINGTON FRAME. Measures 30 and shows that this location was between Manchester and Chester. Finally LMSR & GWR Joint Signalbox Diagram MOLLINGTON. Situated between Chester and Birkenhead. Hand coloured measuring approximately 64 in length. Some damage but overall very good.

London Brighton & South Coast Railway Diary dated 1922 and bearing, in gold lettering, the name Finlay Scott Esq CBE. He was Superintendent of the Line and is listed inside as so. A delightful little item that appears to be unused, has the full company crest in gold on the cover and Finlay Scott's signature inside the front cover.

Ex ploughing traction engine, one of possibly two engines supplied to George Fox, Great Munden, Herts on 31/10/17 and named 'IVY', the other engine was called 'BEATRICE. ' Registered as NK 982 and NK 987 respectively and passed to John Patten, Hall Farm, Little Hadham, Herts. Cabside Numberplate 2871. Ex GWR Heavy Freight 2-8-0 locomotive, built Swindon under lot 210 in November 1918. Initially allocated to Llanelly to work the arduous South Wales mineral/coal lines. It had spells at Bristol and Tyseley and by BR days it had found its way to Banbury then spent many years at Croes Newydd. Final depot was Taunton from where withdrawal took place in May 1963. Cut up at Cashmores in June 1964.A photograph and the Bill Peto history sheet accompanies.

Enamel Advertising Sign, 'Barlova Malted Milk - What A Perfect Nightcap!', 24 x 12. Pictorial showing a young girl and boy in pyjamas, each wearing a cap made from each of the two varieties of malted milk produced by the company. Some damage but overall quite good for this sign that we haven't seen previously. Note: Barlova was made in Hyde, Cheshire.

Totem, BR(W) PERSHORE, H/F. Ex GWR station on the Worcester - Paddington line now know as the Cotswold Line. Excellent condition with good colour and shine and complete with original brackets, as removed from the station in 1966. The station, still open, is only a half a mile from the GWRA venue.

LMS Art Deco Door Transom as removed from the LMS Headquarters, Euston House, Evesholt Street, London when renovation took place 30 years ago. A most wonderful, museum standard item, typical of the mid 1930's era when Euston House opened. It is constructed from brass, weighing approximately 70 lbs and measures 60 x 19. The LMS initials are spaced across in a most delightful style. The glass was removed at the time for safety reasons.

LNER 10inch Oak cased fusee clock circa 1930. The original dial is lettered LNER 12395 and has a couple of screw holes where the previous owner affixed an Ardleigh shelfplate, the clock appears to be in working condition and comes with a Key and pendulum. Research from the LNER clock records show this clock as having been originally located at March Loco Running depot, Engine men's signing on room, however the vendor states that this clock was in use at Ardleigh signal box and was presented as a retirement gift to his father.

Worksplate, Andrew Barclay Sons & Co Limited Caledonia Works Kilmarnock Rebuilt May 1975. Andrew Barclay used a separate series of works' numbers for other than new build locomotives which usually started at 6000 before finishing at 6999 and then going back to start again at 6000. This also include the rebuilding of locomotives. Unfortunately not all plates showed a job number which, as in the case of this example, can make it impossible to identify the loco from which the plate came. It should be noted that this unusual plate is not a Barclay standard casting and may therefore be a replacement fitted by the owners or in preservation.

Totem, BR(Sc) ARMADALE, H/F. Ex North British Railway (Bathgate & Coatbridge Railway) station between Bathgate and Westcraigs, opened 11 August 1862. Lasted through LNER and British Railway days until closure on 8 January 1956. Extremely good condition with just minor edge chipping as is usual. A rare totem, only once at auction before and quite possibly the only survivor.

Worksplate, LNER 9 x 5 oval brass number 9143, NB Loco Co 1910. Ex-NBR 0-6-2T 'A' class loco No. 399 built by NBL Hyde Park Works No. 19176 and entered service in August 1910. Became LNE 9399 in April 1924 class N15/1 and 9143 in February 1946. Renumbered 69143 by BR in November 1949. Withdrawn in September 1960. The front is unpainted and lightly polished, the back in ex-loco condition.

LNWR Guards watch By John Walker of London. A brass cased fusee Guards watch dating from circa 1840 this important timepiece was used by the Guards and set and locked at Euston then travelled with the Guard so he could confirm the time at the Stations they stopped at, this was in use before Greenwich time signals were sent by Telegraph. The Brass case is engraved to the front John Walker 18 Princess Street, Leicester Square, London and to the rear London & North Western Railway No 159 1074, The English Lever fusee movement has recently been cleaned and the balance staff replaced, so is in perfect working condition. This has got to be the rarest and most important watch to come onto the market ever.

LB&SCR three aspect Chimney type Handlamp with its large oval brass plate showing the full company name. The body is stamped LB&SCR SN 999 ( denotes Steyning) and the reducing cone is also stamped LB&SCR. The lamp is complete with its original LB&SCR stamped, sloping front reservoir.

Worksplate, Andrew Barclay Sons & Co Limited Caledonia Works Kilmarnock No 609 of 1976. Ex standard gauge 400 hp 0-6-0DH supplied new to the National Coal Board at Dawdon Colliery. It was sent for repairs at Lambton Engine Works for repairs on the 19 January 1084 and then went to South Hetton when the repairs were completed. It arrived at Hawthorn Loco Shed at Murton in May 1987 and was scrapped there at the end of May 1992 by M.J.K. Engineering Services Ltd. of Esh Winning.

North London Tramway Fusee Pocket Watch, by G.Taylor Fenton. A top quality English made fusee watch with back wind and key set to the hands, the movement is engraved 9758 G.Taylor Fenton and is in cleaned and working condition. The dial is free from chips and has THE NORTH LONDON TRAMWAY Co enamelled onto it. The North London Tramways Company operated from 1885 25 Merryweather and Dick, Kerr steam engines hauling long-wheelbase Falcon trailers, until its liquidation in 1891. The North Metropolitan Tramway Company took over in 1891 and switched back to horses, in 1896 all lines were taken over and operated by the county council itself and subsequently on 1 July 1933 the London County Council Tramways passed to the London Passenger Transport Board (LPTB), known as London Transport. A rare a possibly unique survivor from this company.

Great Eastern Railway Enamel Signal Boxboard WOOD STREET , white on Blue enamel measuring 39 x 8 and with a few chips which could be restored. This is an extremely rare item as not many GER enamel boards survive, the GER changed from this type to the more familiar Wooden with Cast Iron lettered boards circa 1918. Wood street Station is on the former GER line between Hackney Downs and Chingford in Essex

A Tyers F Pattern Scottish Double Line Block Instrument complete with integral bell and original Tyer & Co Label. This instrument was removed from Gartcosh Junction signal box upon closure on the 29th May 1999, Gartcosh was a Junction on the Sighthill to Gartsherie line. The instrument is in lovely ex box condition.

Cabside Numberplate 5035. Ex GWR 4-6-0 'Castle Class' locomotive COITY CASTLE, built Swindon in May 1935. Initially allocated to Cardiff to work South Wales expresses. Very quickly sent to Wolverhampton Stafford Road and after a few years, it moved to Old Oak Common for pretty well the rest of its working days with the exception of the last couple of years at Swindon. Withdrawal came in May 1962 and it was cut up by Cashmore's Newport in December of that year. A couple of photographs and the Bill Peto history sheet accompanies.

Opened by the Worcester & Hereford Railway in 1860, this beautiful building is constructed with local Malvern Ragstone in classic French Gothic theme. The station was renamed Harringay West on 18 June 1951 when this totem would have probably been fitted, but reverted to Harringay on 27 May 1971.

LNWR C/I Signal Box Lever Plates, qty 2 comprising HOME FROM DAVENTRY TO UP & DOWN PLATFORM and HOME FROM NAPTON TO UP & DOWN PLATFORM. Ex Braunston Signal Box on the Leamington Spa to Weedon route, closed to passengers in 1958, and freight in 1963. Despite being a very small village, it also had a station on the GCR route named Braunston & Willoughby. Items from this location, indeed branch are very seldom seen.

British Railways wooden totem sign Travel Agents Clock, 'BUY YOUR TICKETS HERE AT STATION PRICES', painted white on red, 46 x 12. These signs were to be found in the windows of BR accredited Travel Agents who sold railway tickets on a commission basis. Unusually, this example is complete with the original 8 dial electric clock by METAMEC with the initials BR below the centre. The Clock has been tested and appears to work however the plug has been removed and we suggest you get it checked by a competent electrician before use.

SAR single language Cabside Numberplate no 570. Ex 3'6 gauge 6th 4-6-0 built as a standard passenger type for Southern African railways from the early 1890's. This one was built by Neilson Reid of Glasgow, works no. 5247 in 1898 for the Cape Government Railway and was numbered 239. In 1912 the CGR became part of the new South African Railways and the engine received this numberplate at that time which it carried until withdrawal at Cape Town in 1970. 570 had various minor improvements from the original specification and was classified class 6D by the SAR; the D suffix also categorised the other CGR later-built 6th class among the whole class of 4-6-0s.

Wooden cased Signalbox Telephone with small plate attached to face 'Listen Before Ringing Code'/ Early style with brass trumpet mouth-piece and similar ear-piece. The bell beneath is also brass and the whole instrument is extremely good and very presentable indeed. The only defect appears to be the frayed cord.

Nameplate MINERVA 1888. Ex Kellett Brown & Co Ltd, spinners, scribblers, scourers, fullers and tenterers, Steam Engine sited at Calverley Mill Nr Leeds. Built by Engineer Mr Mortimer, the machine was a 400hp Marsden tandem compound engine built 1888 with a huge 22 ft flywheel which rotated at 62rpm. Curved brass, hand engraved with black and some red wax filling. Ornate floral motif either side of the date. Measures 15

Bristol Joint Station C/I Signalbox Door Notice. Fully titled, standard GWR design of incredible rarity. Only two or three boxes probably carried this type of sign and as far as we can ascertain, the others are not known. Consensus is that it probably originated from Bristol Old Station Box. Face only restored, rear original. Note: The Bristol Joint Station Committee was constituted under an agreement dated the 23rd March 1871 between the Great Western, Midland, and Bristol & Exeter railway companies. The Bristol & Exeter Railway Company was amalgamated with the Great Western Railway Company as from 1st January 1876 by the Great Western and Bristol & Exeter Railways Amalgamation Act 27th June 1876. Joint Committee functions were transferred to the Great Western and Midland Railways Joint Committee constituted under Great Western and Midland railway companies (Severn and Wye, and Severn Bridge Railway) Act 1894.

Totem, BR(E) WEST GREEN, H/F. Ex GER Palace Gates line between Noel Park and Seven Sisters, opened in January 1878. Closed for passenger services on 7 January 1963 and for freight on 5 October 1964. The cutting where the station once was has been completely filled and now houses a school and sports field. A rare totem indeed.

Players Cigarettes wall mounted Vending Machine bearing the makers label 'Dean Bros, Mount St Works Nottingham' Size is 30 x 6 x 4 in original condition with the Players logo in script across the face and the price of 6d above the coin slot. Also has a front plate 'Turn' next to the rotatable handle on the side. Has a key but it doesn't appear to open, may require some attention to do so.

Ships Plaque for HMS SHROPSHIRE mounted on a wooden shield and bearing a brass inscription beneath ' Presented By The Lords Commissioners Of The Admiralty To The Urban District Of Market Drayton To Commemorate The Adoption Of HMS SHROPSHIRE During Warship Week February Feb 14th 1942. The ship was a heavy cruiser, launched 5 July 1928 gaining battle honours in both the Atlantic and Arctic in WWII. Decommissioned in December 1942 and transferred to the Royal Australian Navy gaining battle honours in New Guinea, Layte Gulf, Lingayen Gulf, Borneo and the Pacific. Sold for scrapping, 16 July 1954. Single Line Key Token CAIRNRYAN JCT - CASTLE KENNEDY. Ex Portpatrick & Wigtownshire Joint Railway section. Closed to passengers in June 1965, but the line is still in use for trains to and from Stranraer. The Castle Kennedy to Cairnryan Junction token section came into existence when Cairnryan Junction signal box opened in October 1942. It ceased to exist when Cairnryan Junction signal box closed in December 1962 and the token section once again became Castle Kennedy to Stranraer Harbour Junction.

LMS Art Deco bronze Reading Lamp as removed from the LMS Headquarters, Euston House, Evesholt Street, London when renovation took place 30 years ago. Stands 19 high and has a typical 'Cleopatra's Needle' style, The rectangular, curved metal shade is adjustable to suit the reader. No markings but certainly from the HQ of the LMS. The electrical connection has been removed so any re-connection should be via a qualified electrician.

LB&SCR 10 mahogany cased chain driven fusee Clock by Grimshaw Baxter & Elliott Ltd. The chain driven fusee movement is in excellent condition and the case complete with its original cast bezel is also stamped to the rear 590 B. The dial has been repainted post 1948 and now reads B.R.(S) John Walker, 1 South Molton Street 590.B. The SR clock records show that this clock was supplied new to the LB&SCR in 1891 and was originally in use at Selham Signal box on the line from Midhurst to Pulborough. It was later transferred to the Station Master's Office at Charing Cross and then to the stores at Wimbledon. The vendor actually recovered it from London Bridge Signal Box where it was languishing in disrepair behind one of the signal panels. A wonderful example in full working order.

Deri Junction was on the branch between Ogilvie Colliery and Darran. A fascinating location near Bargoed, one claim to fame is that an early Dr Who episode was filmed at the Colliery.

Nameplate WARRINGTON YARD. Ex Brush Class 47 D1792, later under TOPS 47311. Built under Works number 554, it was introduced to traffic in January 1965 and allocated to Darnall. Named by the Mayor of Warrington on 30 June1988. Scrapped at C.F.Booth, Rotherham in February 1993. The nameplates were transferred to 47338 at Tinsley TMD without ceremony in December 1991 and finally removed in October 1995. This loco was also scrapped at C.F.Booth, Rotherham in July 2007. Tyers Single Line brass Tablet DALMENY - FORTH BRIDGE NORTH number 10. Special configuration for converted Tyers No 1 machine, introduced in 1896 for the double line section across the famous Forth Bridge. There were 'scissor crossings' each end of the bridge and single line working could be introduced quite simply should week-end or any other time engineering works were introduced. The signal boxes controlling this section were closed on 13th May 1979 and control for such workings today, are from Edinburgh SC.

GWR 'art deco' Carriage Lamp with 'cubist' shades. The right angled bracket is brass and clearly stamped 'GWR' in small capitals. The colourful shade is 4 square with green overlapping lines having a brown line style motif in the lower corner. The whole lamp stands almost 6 high and protrudes from the wall by roughly the same distance. Quite remarkable to see such a survivor, particularly in this condition. This is one of a pair entered into this auction, the other appearing under a different lot number.

LNER cast iron Seatback SPOONER ROW. Ex Great Eastern Railway station between Thetford and Wymondham, opened 30 July 1845 and despite several closures and re-openings, it finally became established on 1 March 1882 and has been there ever since. Unrestored condition but has been welded between the two words so there is some paint loss there. Not known to have survived, indeed little from this station has ever come to light so a great rarity.

Great Eastern Railway 6 Fusee Bracket clock by Bevan of Tottenham, London circa 1890. This Important clock is in the more ornate Gothic Mahogany case with a glazed rear door and extra detail to the carving on the front of the case, as supplied to the more Senior officers of the company. The dial reads BR 777 and the rear shows instructions not to paint this with 24 Hour numerals. The Chain driven fusee movement has snailed plates and is fully restored and working condition. An ivorine plate 777 is attached to the inside of the rear door. The LNER clock records show that this clock was located at Kings Cross Station, Chief of Stores Hadley Wood. A rare clock in fully working condition , complete with 2 keys and a pendulum.

Nameplate TOTNES CASTLE. Ex Class 47 originally numbered D1919. Built by Brush under works number 681, released to traffic January 1966 for work on the Western Region. Renumbered to 47242 in Mar 1974, then 47659 in Nov 1986 and finally 47814 in July 1989. Named at Totnes station by the Duchess of Somerset May 1997 to mark the 150th anniversary of the railway reaching Totnes and the 125th anniversary of the Buckfastleigh, Totnes & South Devon Railway. Face only restored, rear ex loco. Not the plate sold recently, this is the other side.

Andrew Barclay used a separate series of works' numbers for other than new build locomotives which usually started at 6000 before finishing at 6999 and then going back to start again at 6000. This also include the rebuilding of locomotives. Unfortunately not all plates showed a job number which, as in the case of this example, can make it impossible to identify the loco from which the plate came.

Manchester Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway 12 inch fusee clock by Arnold and Lewis of Manchester Circa 1870. This clock is in nice original condition complete with the following dial writing, LNER 8033 and clearly visible as Ghosted writing ARNOLD & LEWIS No 533 MANCHESTER, the ebonised case is also in excellent condition and the early chain driven fusee movement with shaped shoulders, turned ringed pillars and cut outs to the bottom of the plates has recently been oiled and is in fully working condition. The LNER clock records show this clock as being located at Barnby Dun Station, Kirk Sandal Signal Box, this was a former MS&L station now closed on the line between Doncaster and Thorne. Rare to find a MS&L clock in this condition.

Riddles design for the Ministry of Supply Class WD 2-8-0 originally War Department No.77170 and then BR No.90156. Ex-works in June 1943. Following its demob its first shed was Neville Hill in May 1947 after which it went to New England, Peterborough Spital, March, Stratford, Hornsey and Doncaster from where it was withdrawn on the 18 April 1966. to be scrapped by Draper's at Hull in the following September.

Tyers No 9 brass Key Token (configuration C) BANAVIE - ANNAT number 19. Ex Mallaig Extension on the West Highland Line. The section was introduced 21 June 1964 when the intermediate box at Camus-na-Ha was eliminated and the new box at Annat was opened to control the new connection to Corpach Paper Mill. All was discontinued 14 June 1987 when RETB signalling was introduced on the Mallaig Line. Ex box condition with blue paint within the lettering.

Worksplate, North British Locomotive Company Glasgow No 21893 of 1918, brass diamond shaped. Ex Robinson GCR 2-8-0 the design which was adopted by the Railway Operating Division as their standard freight loco during the First World War. It was ex-works in May 1918 and was originally ROD No.1916. Following purchase by the LNER it was classified 04/3 and renumbered 6518 and then 3807 and under BR became 63807. It was later rebuilt by BR as an O4/8. Post-1948 it was at Mexborough, Langwith Junction and Colwick but by 1957 it had become a resident of Frodingham from where it was withdrawn in September 1964. It was scrapped by Smith of Ecclesfield in January 1965.

Worksplate Neilson Reid 5821/1900. Ex SAR 7B class 4-8-0 new to the Central South African Railway (their no. 384), one of the smaller constituents of SAR on its formation in 1912. The SAR renumbered it 1057 and it lasted into the early 1970's before being scrapped. The number & class are stamped in the back by SAR. Note that sister engine 1056 survived to be on SAR's official roster of preserved working steam engines in the 1990's & was shedded at Voorbai.

Caledonian Railway 13 inch Pine cased wall mounted Regulator clock by Muirhead and Sons , Glasgow circa 1870. This clock is in nice original condition the dead beat weight driven movement with maintaining power has been lightly cleaned and oiled and the case oiled inside with wood Oil to ensure that it hasn't dried out to much over the last 100 years, the exterior of the case still with its original case paint has been lightly waxed. The clock was in use at Greenfoot Level crossing Signal box until its closure on May 29th 1999, as was normal Scottish practice the previous Signal men have signed their names inside. Greenfoot is near Glenboig on the Main Perth Motherwell line. A nice clock standing 56 tall in a condition rare to find these days.

Worksplate, North British Locomotive Company Glasgow No 27292 of 1953, brass diamond shaped. SAR 4-8-4 class 25NC number 3406, an early member of this famous class of express engine. This was built in Glasgow as a non-condensing engine from new and worked out of Bloemfontein and latterly De Aar before withdrawal in the late 1970's. The branch was itself closed on 28th October 1963 but was actually used occasionally to transport rolling stock to the Bluebell Railway. The very last movement along the line was on 13 May 1964 when Terrier No 32636 passed through prior to lifting of the track.

Great Western Railway 12 mahogany cased drop dial fusee Clock circa 1870. The chain driven fusee movement is in good condition and the case just requires a few minor repairs, the Ivorine numberplate G.W.R. 2659 is affixed to the side of the case. The original dial has been repainted by the GWR post 1930 with the desirable Roundel style. This is a uncommon example as the GWR favoured the trunk type of clock. In full working condition complete with key and pendulum.

Nameplate KEITH. Ex LMS 4-6-0 'Jubilee' Class Locomotive number 5655, later under British Railways 45655. Built at Derby in December 1934 under Lot number 113. It was a Manchester Longsight loco for a long period before going to Crewe in 1957. Spent a short time at Llandudno Junction and then returned to Crewe. Final depot in 1961 was Warrington where it stayed until withdrawal from traffic in April 1965. Stored there until November of that year and sold to Birds Bridgend, Glamorgan in December 1965 to be cut up the following year. The plate is stamped with a single punch mark on the rear denoting the left-hand side. It is in outstanding, ex loco condition with lots of Brunswick green on the underside and more importantly, it has all the original 'split-pin' bolts and nuts, quite superb.

Ex standard gauge 400 hp 0-6-0DH supplied new to the National Coal Board's Lambton Railway and later sent to Ashington and South Hetton. It ended its NCB career at Hawthorn Loco Shed at Murton and left there circa April 1992 for the Shropshire Loco Collection near Wellington for preservation. The loco was eventually acquired by Harry Needle Railroad Co. Ltd. and was last recorded in 2009 on hire to John Marrow, Bryn Engineering at Horwich.

Midland Railway 12 Oak cased drop dial trunk fusee Clock by Hummel of Derby circa 1860. The chain driven fusee with early type shaped shoulders and barrelled pillars is in good condition and the case has two side doors and a bottom door secured with a brass lock, the brass numberplate L.M.S. 12182 is affixed to the front of the case. The inside of left hand side door has Pboro Signals Dept pencilled on it. One of the earliest Midland railway clocks to have ever been offered and in full working condition complete with key and pendulum.

Great Northern Railway Signal Lamp Interior with a large brass plate bearing the full company title and the number 18603 on the reservoir. The top of the box section carries a brass plate inscribed BREYDON. This significant Midland & Great Northern Railway location was where the 5 span swing bridge across Breydon Water was used to connect Yarmouth Beach station with the Great Eastern Railway line from Yarmouth South Town at Gorleston. Excellent condition throughout.
