British Railways Western Region pressed aluminium signal box board BLOCKLEY. In ex railway condition measures 32in x 6in.
Signal Box Boards Sold for: £200Smokebox numberplate 48625 ex LMS Stanier 8F built at Brighton in 1943. Sheds included 15A Wellingborough, 14A Cricklewood, 21A Saltley, 18B Westhouses and 15A Leicester Midland from where it was withdrawn in June 1966, scrapped at Cashmore's Great Bridge later the same year. Face restored and has been welded.
Smokebox Numberplates Sold for: £300Nameplate COUNTY OF WILTS. Ex GWR Hawksworth 4-6-0 County Class Locomotive number 1003 built Swindon October 1945. Shedded at Old Oak Common, Laira, Shrewsbury and withdrawn from 83D Laira in October 1962 scrapped in 1964 at Cashmore's Newport. In lightly cleaned condition ready to be repainted. This is the Right hand plate complete with splasher mounting.
Nameplates Steam Sold for: £7,000Nameplate KING HENRY IV. Ex GWR Collet 4-6-0 King Class Locomotive number 6020 built Swindon May 1930, Alfloc water treatment fitted 1954 and double chimney fitted in February 1956. Shedded at Plymouth Laira in 1948 and withdrawn from 84A Wolverhampton Stafford Road in July 1962, scrapped the following year at Cox & Danks Oldbury. In lightly cleaned condition, the rear of the plate is stamped R Lot 267 No 20 indicating this is the right hand plate. The cabside numberplate 6020 is the following lot.
Nameplates Steam Sold for: £17,000GWR brass cabside numberplate 6020 ex Collett KING HENRY IV. See previous lot for details. Face restored with boiler and engine class details stamped in the rim.
Cabside Numberplates Sold for: £5,000South Eastern Railway 14in dial oak cased drop dial railway clock with chain driven English fusee movement. The dial has been restored back to its original condition and showing S.E.R. The case is in nicely restored condition with a replacement brass numberplate 781 on the inside door. It also retains its cast brass bezel. Complete with pendulum and key and detailed fact sheet of its restoration by Dr. D. R. Parr. The Southern Railway records show the clock as last being in use at Kew Gardens Platform and previously at No1 East Cabin Cannon Street.
Clocks Sold for: £1,050Totem BR(S) FF WADEBRIDGE from the former London & South Western Railway station between Okehampton and Padstow. A very rare North Cornwall totem that has never appeared at a railwayana auction before. In very good condition with a small chip repair to the right hand end.
Totem Signs Sold for: £4,500GWR brass cabside numberplate GWR 369 ex 0-6-0 ST named HILDA. See previous lot for details. Face restored with Hilda stamped into the rim.
