Original oil painting on canvas by Barry Price of Coronation 4-6-2 46245 CITY OF LONDON ON THE CALEDONIAN passing Greskine signal box in the winter. Painting measures 23.5in x 18in and is nicely framed and in excellent condition. Paintings Sold for: £800

Great Western Railway 12 inch mahogany cased drop dial trunk fusee railway clock with a large rectangular plated chain driven fusee movement which at some time also drove a slave dial. The case has a four piece wooden surround, two side access doors that have been replaced and a bottom door with a lock, the GWR ivorine clock numberplate GWR 29 is screwed to the left hand side. The original dial has GWR in the roundel style and has had some light restoration. A nice example in restored working condition complete with pendulum and key circa 1880, two labels inside read restored by G.H. Tucker Dawlish 1976 and From Bodmin Rd Station Cornwall. Midland & Great Northern Railway 10 inch oak cased going barrel railway clock, supplied to the M&GN by Aldred & Sons of Great Yarmouth circa 1910 and manufactured by Winterhalder & Hofmeier of Schwarzenbach Germany. The original dial displays BR(E) 11492 and Gt Yarmouth ghosted at the bottom, the case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass turn. In working order complete with pendulum and key. The LNER clock records show this clock as last used at Gayton Road Station Cabin. Clocks Sold for: £320

Worksplate AVONSIDE ENGINE CO BRISTOL 1421 1900 ex 0-6-0 ST originally built for and delivered to the Burry Port & Gwendraeth Valley Railway and named Pontyberem and numbered 2. The locomotive was sold in 1914 to Llewelyn (Nixon) Ltd, later Mountain Ash Colliery, and numbered 11 in 1962. LB&SCR 10 inch Mahogany cased fusee dial clock with a cast brass bezel, manufactured for the London Brighton and South Coast Railway circa 1889 by Grimshaw, Baxter & Elliott Ltd. The chain driven English fusee movement in fully overhauled condition is of typical London style and has rectangular plates, the white enamel hand painted dial displays the legend, B.R.(S). John Walker 1, South Molton St London 796.B. and the rear of the case has been stamped 796 B. The Southern clock records show that this clock was originally supplied to Tulse Hill, Knights Hill Signal Box and was later transferred to Peckham Rye. Delivered to the Channel Tunnel group and used during the construction of the tunnel. Oval cast brass in as removed condition measuring 11.5in x 8in.Together with a cast brass Hunslet radiator plate from one of these locomotives. Great Western Railway 12 inch mahogany cased drop dial fusee railway clock with a very early fusee movement with curved tops to the plates and ringed pillars and a steel rod pendulum. The case has a one piece wooden surround, two side access doors and a bottom door with a lock (key missing) the bottom of the case has lost its original veneer and the GWR ivorine clock numberplate GWR 79 is screwed to the front of the drop. The original dial has GWR in block style and KAY & CO makers ghosted at the bottom. A superb example in excellent restored working condition complete with pendulum and key. Great Western Railway 12 inch mahogany cased fusee railway clock with a rectangular plated wire driven English fusee movement. The original dial displays the GWR roundel and the case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass turn. Nameplate JOE ex Hawthorn Leslie 0-4-0ST built in 1899 as works number 2431. Delivered new to J. Hill & Co Middlesbrough, it moved in 1914 to Sir Hedworth Williamson's lime works Ltd at Fulwell Sunderland as was then named Joe. It is thought that the nameplate may have been used on an earlier engine which was withdrawn in the same year as it is widely known that nameplates from earlier engines at this works were transferred. Great Northern Railway 12 inch mahogany cased fusee railway clock with a large rectangular plated chain driven English fusee movement, supplied the GNR by John Walker of London circa 1870. Tottenham & Hampstead Joint Railway 12 inch mahogany cased fusee drop dial railway clock with a rectangular plated chain driven English fusee movement, supplied the T&HJR circa 1880, the movement is also stamped EX YRK indicating it was sold through British Rail Curios. The original dial displays BR(E) 15487 and has had a thin aluminium secondary dial fitted over the top which can be easily removed if required, which is painted in the grouping LMS John Walker style. The case has flame mahogany to the drop with a brass bow tie lenticle window, one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass lock. In working order complete with pendulum and keys. The LNER clock records show this clock as last used at South Tottenham Goods and was LMS clock number 14244, a rare chance to obtain a clock from this company. The clock comes complete with the full restoration details and provenance as supplied by Dr D.R.Parr. Clocks Sold for: £1,300

Allocated to St Philips Marsh, Penzance, Laira, Reading and 81E Didcot from where it was withdrawn in March 1962 and officially recorded as cut up at Swindon Works in the week ending 28 April 1962. Subsequently it was discovered that, following an exchange of parts between 4965 and sister engine 4983 Albert Hall, it was 4983 scrapped at Swindon. 4965 eventually found its way to Woodham Bros at Barry from where it was acquired for preservation and now resides at Tyseley. Caledonian Railway mahogany cased 14 inch dial weight driven regulator railway clock supplied to the Caledonian Railway in the latter part of the 19th century. The original dial has had some light restoration, the large brass rectangular plated movement has four spoke wheels, deadbeat escapement, Harrison's maintaining power, wooden pendulum rod with cylindrical brass bob, weight, and key, complete but untested but was in use daily until consignment. Great Western Railway 12 inch dial Rosewood cased fusee drop dial clock circa 1850. The quality English fusee movement has rectangular plates with shaped shoulders, which are held together by turned and shaped pillars. The Rosewood case has Brass and ebony inlay with an integral drop to the surround and is of typical early 19th century Salt Box design with one side door and a bottom door secured by a brass lock. The enamel screen printed iron dial with Roman numerals and GWR is in good condition, this process was used in the 1920's and was short lived. This clock is featured in the Railway Clock book by Ian Lyman Page 83 Fig 3.89 and was sold by the London auction house Bonham's sometime in the 1980's. One of only 4 known survivors of this type of clock and all four show detail differences, so this one is probably unique. Has been tested for a few hours and appears to be in working condition with pendulum and key. Clocks Sold for: £3,100
