Nameplate EASTERN ex British Railways diesel class 60 60048. Built at Brush Loughborough as works number 950 in April 1991, named at Clydeport, Hunterston on 29th Aug 1997 and nameplates removed in June 2010 . Previously named Saddleback. Locomotive withdrawn from Toton in Nov 2010 and still stored there owned by DB Cargo UK. Cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 50.25in x 17.75in.
Auction: March 2024 Sold for: £1,500Nameplate set JOHN H CARLESS V.C. together with its oval naming plaque THIS LOCOMOTIVE WAS NAMED TO COMMEMORATE THE 75th ANNIVERSARY OF THE AWARD TO JOHN H CARLESS VC AND WAS PRESENTED BY THE ROYAL NAVAL ASSOCIATION and HMS CALEDON plaque. As carried by British Railways diesel Class 31 31107. New to 31B March 4/59 as D5525. Named at Bescot Depot Open Day August 1992. Nameplates removed July 1995 on withdrawal. Scrapped at Ron Hull Junior, Rotherham. All 3 plates are in as removed condition, nameplate measures 80.5in x 10in and plaques 28in x 9.75in and 16.75in x 12.75in. A rare chance to obtain a plate with a Victoria Cross recipient.

Auction: November 2021 Sold for: £3,200Nameplate NATIONAL RAILWAY MUSEUM 40 YEARS 1975 - 2015 ex British Railways Class 43 HST power car 43238 named September 2015 and removed October 2019. Currently in use with East Midlands Railways. Rectangular cast aluminium face in as removed condition back has been cleaned. Measures 51.25in x 11in. To be sold on behalf of LNER in aid of their nominated Charity Calm and comes with an official LNER certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner.
Auction: November 2020 Sold for: £6,100Nameplate WESTERN CHIEFTAIN together with its numberplate D1057. Ex British Railways Class 52 Diesel Hydraulic built at Crewe in 1963 and allocated to 83A Newton Abbot. Withdrawn in May 1976 from Laira and scrapped the following year at BREL Swindon. Nameplate is in original condition. The numberplate has been restored as when purchased from BR Collectors Corner the letter and numbers were missing. These have been replaced with ones cast and purchased from BREL Swindon.

Renumbered 08869 in 1974 and named at Norwich Crown Point Depot by Steve Bruce (captain of Norwich City Football Club) in May 1987.
