GWR pre grouping 3 Aspect Handlamp with matching body, drum and reservoir, all stamped GWR SWINDON 2 and brass plated 15689. Front lens catch also stamped GWR. Complete with GWR etched front lens and steel cowl, and all coloured glass. A rare pattern in nicely restored condition.
Handlamps Sold for: £180Worksplate LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY DONCASTER WORKS 1931 7615 ex Gresley V1 2-6-2 T rebuilt as a V3. Originally numbered 2915 then 7615 and lastly 67615. A 64B Haymarket locomotive for most of its service life and withdrawn from there in December 1962 and scrapped at Inverurie. Oval cast brass measuring 9in x 5in. Face cleaned and number chiselled off but visible.
Worksplates Steam Not sold, reserve: £150Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO LTD STEPHENSON WORKS DARLINGTON ENGLAND No 3357/8400 1963 ex BR Diesel Class 37 originally numbered D6879, then 37179 in 1973, 37691 in 1987 and lastly 37612 in 1995. Originally allocated to 86A Cardiff Canton and 87A Landore in 1971. Rectangular chromed brass measuring 10.125in x 4.5in. In lightly cleaned condition.
Worksplates Diesel Sold for: £1,200GWR brass cabside numberplate 208 ex Taff Vale Railway Hurry-Riches Class 04 0-6-2 T built by Beyer Peacock as works number 5387 in 1910 and numbered TVR 113, then GWR 317 and lastly 208 around 1946. Allocated to Aberdare and 88B Cardiff East Dock from where it was withdrawn in July 1955 and scrapped. Face restored, rear original with Caerphilly painted on.
Cabside Numberplates Sold for: £850GWR brass cabside numberplate 316 ex Taff Vale Railway Cameron A Class 0-6-2 T built by The North British Locomotive Company Glasgow in 1915 as works number 21158 and numbered TVR 52, then GWR 440 and lastly GWR 316 around 1946. Allocated to Rhymney, Merthyr Tydfil and 88E Abercynon from where it was withdrawn in July 1956 and scrapped. Face restored, rear original with Caerphilly painted on.
