LNER cast brass 9x5 works numberplate 69878 Rebuilt Darlington 1936 Ex Raven H1 4-4-4T rebuilt as A8 in 1936, brass numbering strip 69878 with original number 1499 ground off but clearly visible. Sheds included 53B Hull Botanic Gardens, 51D Middlesbrough, 51C West Hartlepool and 54A Sunderland from where it was withdrawn in June 1960.

GWR oak cased Pork Pie type wall clock with French going barrel movement stamped MADE IN FRANCE. The rear case cover is stamped with the GWR clock number 0.196 and the silvered dial is engraved GWR and wax filled. This is the first example we have seen with a silvered dial as they are normally porcelain. A rare clock in full working condition, measures 6.5in diameter overall.

Great Northern Railway engraved brass Locomotive worksplate No 1067 Doncaster 1905 Ex Ivatt C1 class 4-4-2 No 62821. Sheds included 34A Kings Cross from where it was withdrawn in August 1948 and then Carried out Stationery Boiler duties at Doncaster Carriage Works from August 1948 to September 1950. Face lightly cleaned rear ex loco and stamped L and 3293 four times. To be sold on behalf of The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust.

Nameplate SIR HENRY MORTON STANLEY ex Virgin Super Voyager Diesel Electric Class 221 No 221117. Named in April 2002 and nameplates removed February 2008. Named after Sir Henry Morton Stanley 1841 - 1904 a British explorer famous for finding Dr Livingstone. In ex loco condition. Measures 570mm x 1000mm. Together with a cast aluminium VIRGIN nose cone badge numbered 60367 260mm x 250mm and the original Perspex information panel re the origins of the person whom the train was named after. A nice set of 3 items.

GWR mahogany cased 8inch chain driven fusee clock. The movement has rectangular plates with screwed pillars and the wooden surround is a one piece turning with a black painted bezel. The back box has dovetailed joints and a bottom door with cock beading. The lock has been removed and replaced with the GWR ball catch and knob modification. An ivorine numberplate GWR 1739 is screwed onto the left hand side of the case. The dial has been repainted post 1948 BR-W. A rare clock dating from around 1900, complete and in working condition, with pendulum and key.

BR(M) brass cased ships clock ex MV HIBERNIA. Smiths Astral going barrel movement with dial lettered BR(M), rear of brass case written WHEELHOUSE MV HIBERNIA. In a recently cleaned and overhauled condition complete with key and original mahogany backboard. The dial measures 6in diameter and the case 8in. The MV Hibernia entered service in 1949 and was used on the Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire British Sea Link Service until October 1976.

GWR fusee bracket clock with silver engraved dial marked GWR EVANS & SONS BIRMINGHAM. Oak case with ebony stringing and GWR numberplate 2390 screwed to the inside of the back door. The chain driven fusee movement has A shaped plates with cut out to the bottom and screwed pillars. The clock also has a London style pendulum. The GWR clock winding records from Swindon Works show this as being in Mr Turners office and was wound every Thursday morning. A rare GWR timepiece in good working condition complete with pendulum and key. Case measures 13.5in tall x 9in wide x 6in deep and the dial is 6in diameter.

Cabside numbers and double arrow E3019 ex BR Bo-Bo 25Kv Electric locomotive built April 1961 withdrawn in August 1971 and scrapped at BREL Crewe. E3019 was withdrawn in August 1971 after suffering severe fire damage, believed to be caused by placing the master control lever in reverse while the locomotive was still moving forward. This caused the traction motors to regenerate and overheat, and the resultant fire spread to the rest of the locomotive. Nicely mounted and displayed on a wooden board measuring 32in x 28in.

London & North Eastern Railway 10-inch mahogany cased chain fusee railway clock with a spun brass bezel circa 1930. The mahogany case is good condition, the original dial is painted BR(E) 12871 and the square plated wire driven fusee movement is in working condition. The LNER clock records show the clock as having been located at Lincoln Carriage and Wagon department. Complete in working condition with pendulum and key.

The rectangular plated chain driven fusee movement has turned pillars and a shaped back cock. The mahogany case has a one piece turned surround, dovetailed back box with one side door and a bottom door with cock beading secured by a brass lock, it also retains its original cast brass bezel. The original dial is lettered L.S.W.R 3598 and has typical John walker heart shaped hands. The Southern Railway clock records show this clock as last being in use at Cosham Signal Box. In working condition complete with pendulum and key. A rare clock that has retained its pre grouping dial writing.

Allocations included 86J Aberdare, 88B Radyr and 88A Cardiff Cathays, from where it was withdrawn in 1964, and cut up at Cashmores Newport in 1964. Letters cleaned and face repainted a long time ago. Boiler and class stampings clearly visible in the rim.

The mahogany case with LNWR enamel clock numberplate 2180 screwed to the left hand side has a thin one piece turned surround with bezel lock removed, dovetailed back box with one side door and a bottom door with cock beading secured by a brass lock, it also retains its original cast brass bezel hinged to the left. The original dial is lettered L&N.W.R JNo Walker 40 Princess St Leicester Squ 5846 and has typical John walker heart shaped hands. In working condition complete with pendulum and key. A rare clock that has retained its pre grouping dial writing.

LNER engraved brass Locomotive worksplate No 1795 DONCASTER 1934 from the LNER A3 Class 4-6-2 No 2505 / 40 / 60040 built at Doncaster in 1934 and named CAMERONIAN after the horse which won the 1931 2000 Guineas & Derby. The Loco was shedded at Gateshead and Darlington for most of its life and withdrawn from Gateshead in July 1964 and scrapped at Hughes Bolckow in September 1964. Oval engraved brass with London & North Eastern Railway Co filled in, the back is stamped 40 & 2505 twice. Face lightly cleaned. Complete with original British Railways receipt dated December 1964.

GWR mahogany cased 14 inch fusee clock. The movement has rectangular plates with turned shaped pillars and the wooden surround is a one piece turning with a black painted bezel. The back box has two side doors a rear opening door and a bottom door with the lock removed and replaced with the GWR ball catch and knob modification. An ivorine numberplate GWR 701 is screwed onto the left hand side of the case. The dial has been repainted post 1948 BR-W. A rare clock dating from around 1870, complete and in working condition, with pendulum and key. Ex Henwick Station Worcester.

Nameplate NUNHOLD GRANGE ex GWR Grange 4-6-0 number 6842, built at Swindon works in 1937 and allocated to Bristol, St. Phillips Marsh where it spent much of its working life before finishing its days at Tyseley, withdrawn in November, 1964 and scrapped at Cashmore's Great Bridge in February 1965. In lightly cleaned condition with exceptional original paintwork, rear ex loco stamped with L 6842 indicating this is the Left hand side. Great Western Railway 12 inch dial mahogany cased drop dial trunk fusee clock supplied to the GWR around 1870 by Kays Ltd of Worcester. The rectangular plated chain driven fusee movement has shaped shoulders with cut out to the bottom of the plates and turned pillars. The mahogany case with GWR ivorine clock numberplate 2063 screwed to the front has an eight piece segmented surround, back box with two side doors and a bottom door with cock beading secured by the std GWR replacement ball bearing catch with both hinges stamped GWR. The clock has a spun brass bezel with plastered in sight ring. The original dial is lettered G.W.R. and clearly visible as ghosted writing is KAYS LIMITED WORCESTER. In working condition complete with pendulum and key. A nice early example of these popular clocks.

GWR 12in dial wall mounted oak longcase clock with a GWR ivorine numberplate 1430 screwed to the inside of the case. The weight driven movement has rectangular plates with an extra shaft that would have originally driven a slave dial. The pendulum rod is of the flat steel type with a circular brass bob. A rare GWR clock probably supplied by J.B.Joyce of Whitchurch circa 1870. In good working condition complete with pendulum, weight and key.

South African Railways class 12R brass cab side number plate 1878 12R. The last of the class of 46 Class 12 4-6-2 locomotives built by Beyer Peacock in 1921. All 46 Class 12 locomotives were eventually reboilered with Watson Standard no. 2 boilers and reclassified to Class 12R. In the process, they were also equipped with Watson cabs with their distinctive slanted fronts to facilitate access to the firebox side stays. In Ex loco condition, measures 20.5in x 14.25in.

Worksplate METROPOLITAN VICKERS 1955 from a Coras Iompair Eireann 001 / A Class locomotive that were manufactured by Metropolitan-Vickers at their Dukinfield Works in Manchester. Interestingly they were fitted with eight-cylinder two-stroke, port-controlled Crossley engines. The 001 Class locomotive was the backbone of mainline passenger and freight train services on the Irish railway network for forty years from 1955 until the mid-1990s when they were replaced by the new 201 Class. Rectangualr cast brass measuring 18in x 5in and M.1882 stamped into the back. Face restored rear ex loco.

Great Eastern Railway 8 inch dial mahogany cased fusee clock supplied to the GER by Arnold and Lewis of Manchester circa 1890. The rectangular plated chain driven fusee movement has turned pillars and snailed plates. The Balloon style mahogany case has a back door with lock, and a cast brass bezel with convex glass with four round brass feet. The Silvered convex dial has Arnold & Lewis Manchester engraved and wax filled and BR(E) hand painted at the top and the clock number 880 on the rear of the dial. it also has time keeping adjustment via a key operated square. The pendulum has a zinc cylindrical bob. A fine clock that is shown in the LNER clock records as being in use at the Great Eastern Hotel Liverpool St London Abercorn rooms, there is a copy of a GER postcard clearly showing this clock and a copy of the LNER clock records. Measures 20in tall x 12in wide x 7in deep and is in working condition complete with pendulum and key. A rare clock with added provenance of an image of it in situ.

Great Northern Railway engraved brass Locomotive worksplate No 1389 Doncaster 1913 Ex Ivatt / Gresley J6 class 0-6-0 No 554 / 3554 / 4203 and 64203. Sheds included Retford Thrumpton, Bradford Hammerton St, 56F Low Moor, 56A Wakefield, 56C Copley Hill and 56B Ardsley from where it was withdrawn in June 1961 and then scrapped at Doncaster works. In ex loco condition and stamped R 3554 in the back.

BR (S) wooden carriage board SILVER ARROW painted silver on blue and measuring 31in long. In good condition complete with original metal ends. The Silver Arrow Fleche d'Argent was an intermodal transport service linking Victoria station in London with the Gare du Nord in Paris, via Le Touquet Airport. In operation between 1956 and the opening of the Channel Tunnel, it used a combination of rail and air transport. A rare sign in very good condition.

Rhymney Railway Pocket Watch, by the Spiridion & Son of Cardiff. A good quality English made watch with top wind and top set for time adjustment. The dial is clean and has a small chip by the four o'clock number and also R.R Co 128 Spiridion & Son Cardiff is enamelled below the XII position. The good quality Nickel case has matching numbers 554 to all parts and the back of the case has it later GWR number 2548 machine engraved into it. The numbered movement 463548 is fully signed Kays Worcester. A rare pre grouping watch in fully cleaned and working condition.

Cockermouth and Workington Railway 12 inch dial oak cased fusee clock supplied to the C&WR by Robert Sutton of Whitehaven. The rectangular plated chain driven fusee movement has turned pillars and is stamped 971 in the backplate. The oak case has a four piece turned surround back box with one side door and a bottom door secured by a brass turn. The original dial is lettered C&WR SUTTON WHITEHAVEN. In working condition complete with pendulum and key. A rare clock that has retained its pre grouping dial writing.

Mahogany cased clocking-in clock manufactured by the National Time Recorder Co Ltd Aquinas Street London SE1. The large brass plated movement with balance escapement is in good working condition but lacks key. The clock was used at the Midland Red Bus Garage in Malvern and is in original condition. Measures 13in x 13in x 10in deep, so a nice manageable piece.

Locomotive Nameplate SAINT CHAMOND ex French S.N.C.F 6500 Maurienne class No 6535, to traffic 11th December 1971 and named 1st December 1973, withdrawn 13th December 2004 and scrapped.
