LNER engraved brass Locomotive worksplate No 1795 DONCASTER 1934 from the LNER A3 Class 4-6-2 No 2505 / 40 / 60040 built at Doncaster in 1934 and named CAMERONIAN after the horse which won the 1931 2000 Guineas & Derby. The Loco was shedded at Gateshead and Darlington for most of its life and withdrawn from Gateshead in July 1964 and scrapped at Hughes Bolckow in September 1964. Oval engraved brass with London & North Eastern Railway Co filled in, the back is stamped 40 & 2505 twice. Face lightly cleaned. Complete with original British Railways receipt dated December 1964.
