GWR mahogany cased 8inch chain driven fusee clock. The movement has rectangular plates with screwed pillars and the wooden surround is a one piece turning with a black painted bezel. The back box has dovetailed joints and a bottom door with cock beading. The lock has been removed and replaced with the GWR ball catch and knob modification. An ivorine numberplate GWR 1739 is screwed onto the left hand side of the case. The dial has been repainted post 1948 BR-W. A rare clock dating from around 1900, complete and in working condition, with pendulum and key.
