South Eastern & Chatham Railway 12in dial oak cased drop dial railway clock with a chain driven English fusee movement which has rectangular plates with turned pillars and stamped on the back plate SE&CRY G&B. The case is in ex railway condition and is missing the right hand side door and part of the bottom door and the back box is stamped 1409.SE on the side, it also retains its original cast brass bezel. The dial is screen printed JOHN WALKER 1 SOUTH MOLTON ST LONDON and lettered B.R.(S) 1409.S.E. The Southern Railway records show this clock as last being in use at Yeovil Junction Engineers Department and previously at the Loco Running Foreman's Office, Margate and Clerks Office, Ramsgate and previously at Charing Cross Main Line Booking Office. In working condition complete with pendulum which is stamped 1409 and key and a copy of the SR Clock record.
