Great Northern Railway 8in mahogany cased fusee railway clock by John Walker of London. The English wire driven fusee movement has rectangular plates and turned pillars and is in good clean condition. The mahogany case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass lock and is in nicely restored condition and retains its original cast brass bezel. The dial has been restored by Dr D.R. Parr from its later BR dial writing and clock number 10583 and now displays its original dial writing and the clock number GNR 905. The LNER clock records confirm that clock No 10583 was originally GNR 905 and was in use at Saxilby Kesteven Sidings Cabin. A nice 19th century Walker timepiece In full working order complete with pendulum, keys, copy of the clock record and detailed fact sheet of its restoration by Dr. D. R. Parr.
