Taff Vale Railway 12 inch mahogany cased railway clock. The original dial is lettered GWR in the roundel style and ghosted Collings Cardiff. The English wire driven fusee movement with shaped shoulders and cut out to the bottom has been recently been lightly cleaned and oiled and has repair dates of 1881, 87 and 94 scratched on. The mahogany case has 2 side doors and bottom door with GWR ball bearing catch is in good ex service condition. The GWR ivorine numberplate GWR 2368 is screwed to the left hand side. A lovely timepiece supplied by J. Collings of Cardiff circa 1870. In full recently overhauled working condition complete with pendulum and key.
