London & South Western Railway 12 inch and 14 inch mahogany cased double dial railway clock with a chain driven rectangular plated fusee movement supplied to the LSWR circa 1870 by John Walker of London. Both original dials read BR(S) JOHN WALKER 1 SOUTH MOLTON ST LONDON 2126 SW and the mahogany case has a side and bottom door, both dials retain their original cast bezels. The SR clock records confirm that this clock was in use at Romsey station platform. A rare 19th century double dial timepiece from a station that was originally a junction for the Sprat and Winkle line. In good recently restored working condition complete with pendulum, key and comes with a copy of the Southern railway clock record.
