Diamond shaped cast brass in as removed condition with slight damage to the right hand bolt hole, measures 16in x 9.5in together with its owners plate TRANSPORTATION CORPS 5197 U.S.ARMY SPECIFICATION No T-1569 W-33-092-TC-2639 MANUFACTURED BY THE LIMA LOCOMOTIVE WORKS No 8856 APRIL JUNE 1945 ex S160 2-8-0. Rectangular cast brass in as removed condition measures 13in x 7.5in. It was exported to China in 1946 where it was classified as KD6 by the Chinese State Railways, and numbered KD6 463, it worked in the Chinese Coal Industry around Fushun, and was withdrawn in the 1990s. It was saved from scrap and now operates on the Churnet Valley Railway with replacement cast aluminium plates.
