Nameplate THE BURTON ex Gresley D49 4-4-0 built at Darlington in 1934 and originally numbered LNER 238, 2757 and BR 62757. Allocated to 53B Hull Botanic Gardens for most of its working life and withdrawn from there in February 1958 and scrapped Darlington Works. Curved cast brass nicely face restored, rear of nameplate and fox both stamped L 238 indicating its is the left hand plate and rare to find an original fox with matching numbers. Accompanying the lot is a reproduction 9x5 worksplate.
