Ex British Railways Class 40 diesel originally numbered D306 becoming 40106 Mar 1974. Allocated new to 5A Crewe North Oct 1960 and withdrawn from Longsight Apr 1983, the last Class 40 to retain green livery. Sold for preservation to the Great Central Railway, Loughborough where it was named Atlantic Conveyor in Aug 1984. Currently resides on the Severn Valley Railway. One of only twenty Class 40s built at Darlington. Rectangular cast brass, face restored measures 10.125in x 4.625in.
