Virgin Trains class 220 Voyager shield. When first introduced all the shields were red backed but station staff complained they could not distinguish between a four car Voyager 220 and a five car Super Voyager 221 class so the shields on the class 220 Voyager were over painted silver on top of the red paint for the background area, hence could be recognised by staff as they arrived in a station. Cast aluminium measures 10.25in x 10in in as removed condition.
