Nameplate TRETOWER CASTLE ex GWR Collett Castle Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1939 as order number 324 and numbered 5094. Allocated to Newton Abbot, Laira, Weymouth Swindon, Bristol Bath Road, Gloucester and 82B St Philips Marsh from where it was withdrawn from in September 1962 and scrapped at Cashmore's (Newport). In lightly cleaned condition with L 5094 stamped in the back indicating this is the left hand side plate. Tretower Castle is just outside Crickhowell and is now a tourist attraction.
