Smokebox numberplate 51496 ex LYR Barton Wright 0-6-0ST. Originally built as 0-6-0 tender engine in 1885 by Kitson as works number 2803, rebuilt as a 0-6-0ST in 1898. Allocated to Newton heath and 26B Agecroft from where it was withdrawn in March 1961 and scrapped at Horwich works. In original condition complete with British Railways receipt dated 22nd November 1961.
