Locomotive whistle probably ex Schools class 4-4-0. Stamped BR A (Ashford) YM3. The whistle has a bottom flange fitting of the type used on the Schools but not on the N, N1, U, S15 classes etc, the Schools class whistles were mounted horizontally above the firebox and in front of the cab whereas all the others are mounted vertically. Complete except for the operating lever, measures 13in tall and was acquired by the vendor from Ashford works in the 1960's. In ex railway condition.
