Nameplate WESTMINSTER ABBEY ex British Railways Class 43 HST 43027. Allocated new to St. Philips Marsh (Bristol) HST depot Oct 1976. Named at Paddington station on 29/5/85 with cast alluminium nameplates and these were removed in May 1990 and the stainless steel ones were not fitted. Later named Glorious Devon and Acton Castle. Taken out of service at Laira in Dec 2023 and currently stored there. Rectangular engraved stainless steel in ex stores condition measures 39.5in x 6in. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railway for their chosen charities and comes with an official GWR certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner.
