Worksplate oval brass THE DREWRY CAR CO LTD LOCO No 2273 150 HP 1951.From 0-4-0DM named TAURUS which was new to William Cory & Sons Ltd, Contractors, at Erith. By 1969 it had moved to Purfleet Deep Wharf Storage Co Ltd and in 1983 went to Duncan Transrail Ltd, Salford, as their No 2 and still named. By mid-1989 it was at Otis Euro Transrail Ltd but was out of use later that year. In December 1995 it was acquired by the Gwynedd & Clwyd Railway Society at Talycafn Tramway Museum. It should be noted that this is an extremely rare version of a Drewry plate showing what must have been a very short-lived residency at 134 Cheapside. Extensive research has failed to unearth anything about the firm's stay at that address. One of only two known, both are from the same locomotive.
