Worksplate North British Locomotive Company Ltd Glasgow 1919 Atlas Works 22246. Ex ROD Class 2-8-0 locomotive purchased by the GWR in 1925 and numbered 3044. Originally a Cardiff engine but from nationalisation until withdrawal in 1956, it was allocated to Pontypool Road.
