Worksplate The English Electric Company Ltd., London, Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns Ltd., Locomotive Works, England number 3069/8323 - 1962. Ex Type 3 Class 37 originally numbered D6777 introduced to traffic in October 1962 and allocated to Thornaby. Received Tops number 37 077 in February 1974 and was named BRITISH STEEL SHELTON on 30th September 1985 at BSC Lackenby. Name removed in July 1987 and unofficially named HURRICANE at Tinsley in October 1989. Currently in store with EWS. Retains chrome plating around the edge and rear, the latter being ex loco with the exception of the number being painted in white.
