Worksplate, English Electric Company Ltd., London No 3214/8333 dated 1962, Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns Ltd., Locomotive Works England. Ex English Electric Type 3 Class 37 number 37087. Released to traffic in December 1962 bearing original number D6787 and allocated to Gateshead. Worked extensively on the Kyle of Lochalsh route, still extant. Face cleaned and a red background applied, mounted on a wooden plaque. Investigation of the rear shows it to be cleaned but much chrome plating and traces of blue paint still exist.
