Allocated new to 5A Crewe North and withdrawn from Longsight Jan 1984. Scrapped at Doncaster Works in Mar 1984. This was the last of the twenty Class 40s built at Darlington. Rectangular cast brass in basically as removed condition with a couple of very small repairs to the bottom of both corners. Measures 10in x 4.5in.?
