Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC Co LTD, STEPHENSON WORKS, DARLINGTON, ENGLAND No 3343/8396 - 1963 ex British Railways Diesel Class 37 originally numbered D6865, 37165 in 1974 and 37374 in 1989. Allocated new to 87E Landore and was well travelled spending time at York, Ardsley, Farnley Junction, March, Stratford, Tinsley, Immingham, and Thornaby Depots. Withdrawn in 1989 and scrapped at Carnforth. Rectangular cast chromed in as removed condition, measures 10in x 4.5in. This is the rarest version of the four patterns of class 37 worksplates.
