Worksplate BUILT SWINDON 1958 ex British Railways Diesel Class 03 D2005-2033. Oval cast iron in cleaned condition with the odd specs of BR green paint left and casting number U 240. Measures 10.5in x 6in. Probably from one of the class that was scrapped at Doncaster works as it was acquired from Doncaster works by the vendors late father who was the Chief Foreman of 4 bay which was the locomotive repair shop and test bays and the stripping shop at British Rail Engineering Ltd.
