Worksplate 'Built Horwich 1946', oval C/I. Painted on rear is 44987 which was a 'Black 5' built within lot 133 at the works. The loco was ex works on 30th November 1946 and initially allocated to Newton Heath, it ended it's days at Carnforth. Withdrawn 30th October 1966 and cut up by Cashmores Great Bridge in February 1967. Ex loco condition.
