Worksplate BRUSH TRACTION ENGLAND No 296 1961 Ex British Railways Class 31 diesel originally numbered D5695 becoming 31265 Apr 1974, 31430 Aug 1983 and 31530 May 1990. Allocated new to 30A Stratford Apr 1961. Loco was stored at Swindon Works Oct 1980 and withdrawn Dec 1980 whilst allocated to Old Oak Common. Re-instated to Tinsley Sep 1982. Named Sister Dora from Oct 1988 to Feb 1996. Stored at Bescot Jan 1999 and moved to Springs Branch CRDC Jun 2000. Sold for preservation and moved to the Mid Norfolk Railway Dec 2002. Nameplates restored in 2004. Moved to Mangapps Railway museum Aug 2013 and is currently at the Spa Valley Railway running as 31430. Oval cast aluminium in as removed condition with a small crack to the left hand bolt hole. Measures 9.625in x 5.75in.
