Worksplate British Railways Crewe Built 1964, Power Equipment By Brush Electrical Engineering Company Ltd And Sulzer. Ex Type 4 Class 47 number D1584. Introduced in May 1964 and allocated to Landore. Destined to become 47021 but never materialised. Renumbered 47531 in May 1974, then 47974 in June 1990, finally 47775 and named THE PERMANENT WAY INSTITUTION in 1991 at Newcastle. Re-named RESPITE in 1973. Was in use on Serco Test duties out of Crewe and subsequently sold to Harry Needle Company in June 2004. Noted being cut up by HNRC Staff April 2006 at Crewe.
