Worksplate Beyer Peacock (Hymek) Ltd., serial no 8001. Ex BR diesel hydraulic loco no D7097 built December 1963 and allocated new to Newport. Withdrawn from Bristol Bath Road in December 1972, a mere 9 years after introduction. Cut up March 1975 at Swindon. Small crack at bottom doesn't detract.
