Worksplate Andrew Barclay Sons & Co Ltd, Caledonia Works, Kilmarnock, No 1722, dated 1921. Large oval brass with maroon background. Ex Gas Light & Coke Co., Beckton, Essex, No 39 (originally No 43). This was the very first company set up to supply gas to London in 1812 and is described as the original company to be of British Gas decendancy. Scrapped in 1960.
