Andrew Barclay used a separate series of works' numbers for other than new build locomotives which usually started at 6000 before finishing at 6999 and then going back to start again at 6000. This also include the rebuilding of locomotives. Unfortunately not all plates showed a job number which, as in the case of this example, can make it impossible to identify the loco from which the plate came.
