West Lancashire Railway 12 inch mahogany cased drop dial fusee railway clock with wire driven English fusee movement with shaped shoulders and ringed pillars, supplied circa 1860-70. The original dial displays LYR 2220 JAS WATT SOUTHPORT. The case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass turn and has a West Lancashire Railway brass numberplate WLR 20, LYR steel clock numberplate No 2220 and LMS brass oval numberplate 8969 screwed onto the sides of the case. A rare clock circa 1878, the WLR was absorbed into the LYR in July 1897. In working order but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key. A rare clock.
