Totem, BR(W) CAERLEON, F/F. Ex GWR station between Newport High Street and Llantarnam, historic Roman Town north of the River Usk, closed 30th April 1962. With the town's legendary link with King Arthur and believed to be the original Camelot, it is rather appropriate to have such a wonderful totem in the same auction as the Sir Launcelot Nameplate. The station closed forever in April 1962. Superb condition with wonderful, deep shine and no face chips whatsoever.
