Taff Vale Railway 12 inch mahogany cased fusee railway clock with a wire driven rectangular plated fusee movement with shaped shoulders and turned pillars supplied to the TVR circa 1870 by Joseph Collings of Cardiff and is in cleaned condition. The original dial displays the GWR roundel and also visible as ghosted writing is the earlier GWR block style writing and J Collings Cardiff. The case has two side doors and a bottom door secured with the normal modified GWR ball bearing catch and the GWR clock ivorine numberplate G.W.R. 2968 is screwed onto the left had side of the case. A lovely 19th century timepiece in good working condition complete with pendulum and key.
