Taff Vale Railway 12 inch mahogany cased drop dial trunk clock. The original dial is lettered BR-W and ghosted T.V.R. Collings Cardiff. The English wire driven fusee movement with shaped shoulders has been recently been lightly cleaned and oiled and is in good condition. The case with flame mahogany veneer, brass bow tie lenticle window with the glass replaced with a mahogany panel, 2 side doors and bottom door with GWR ball bearing catch is in good ex service condition. The GWR ivorine numberplate GWR 2163 is screwed to the left hand side. A lovely timepiece supplied by J. Collings of Cardiff circa 1870. In working condition complete with pendulum and key.
