Stanier Hooter recovered from ex Stanier 8F locomotive 48383, built Horwich in January 1945. A Kirkby-in-Ashfield loco for just about its entire life. Withdrawn January 1966 and cut up at Great Bridge from where it was obtained along with the Smokebox Numberplate elsewhere in this auction. It retains the original cab bulkhead plate and pipe, a rare 'extra' indeed. Totally ex loco condition.
