Southern Railway framed Bravery Certificate signed by Sir Eustace Missenden, General Manager, Waterloo Station. Awarded to Jack Davis by the Southern Railway in appreciation of his brave act on the 2/5/1946 when his prompt action at considerable risk to his own life, he removed a child from the railway line at West Croydon. It is hand painted in water colour and shows images of the Southern Railway crest with the four corners showing Merchant Navy Loco, Nelson Type EMU, Railway Lorry and Steamship in Dock. A 'one off' item for the discerning SR collector.
