Southern Railway enamel Target WINCHFIELD. Ex LSWR station between Woking and Basingstoke, opened in 1838 as Shapley Heath, as a temporary terminus. On the 10th June in the following year, the line was completed to Basingstoke and Shapley Heath became a through station. Renamed as Winchfield some time later.
