South Eastern & Chatham Railway oak cased 18 inch dial weight driven regulator railway clock supplied to the SECR circa 1900 probably by Grimshaw Baxter & Elliott Ltd of London. The original dial has been repainted by John Walker post 1948 style and is numbered 920 SE the BR(S) is faintly visible at the top. The oak cased has been cleaned and has a brass numberplate 920 screwed on the inside of the door, there is a piece of moulding missing from the top tight had of the hood and also a piece on the bottom right hand side. The large brass rectangular plated movement has four spoke wheels, deadbeat escapement, Harrison's maintaining power, wooden pendulum rod, weight, weight pulley and key is in working condition but untested. Stands 82.5in tall x 23in wide. The Southern railway clock records show it spent its railway working life at Maidstone West Up Platform.
