South African Railways, single language, oval brass Cabside Numberplate 1461 Class 3R. Ex SAR Class 3, built by the North British Locomotive Company for use in upper Natal. Later rebuilt with standard No.2 boilers becoming class 3R and used in Bloemfontein and Cape Town on shunting duties. Withdrawn in 1974. Wonderful, ex loco condition.
