Smokebox Numberplate 90559. Ex WD 2-8-0 Austerity Locomotive introduced in 1943 with the original number of 77095 and purchased from the War Department by British Railways in 1948. Certainly a much travelled loco, initially allocated to 51B Newport but by 1950 had found its way to 35A New England. By late 1957, it had wandered to 31B March but didn't remain there for long before moving to 32A Norwich. It ended up at 36A Doncaster where it was finally cut up and the snmaokebox numberplate recovered from there. Restored.
