Smokebox Numberplate 48601. Ex Stanier 2-8-0 Class 8F locomotive, built Eastleigh Works in February 1943 and entered service with the LMS as number 8601. Fitted with a Fowler straight-sided tender which did make the loco look a little odd. Allocated to Willesden for much of the time. Withdrawn June 1965 and cut up at Cashmore's, Great Bridge. Note: This loco, along with breakdown crane, attended the aftermath of the Harrow & Wealdstone disaster.
