Shedplate 40A Lincoln 1949-1/64. This ex GNR shed was the largest of three sheds in the city. The 1950 allocation was a substantial 64 locos, and by 1959 it had three B1 namers in its total of 51 locos. The shed closed in 1964, but the DMU and shunter allocation continued carrying the code, although they were maintained at the former GCR shed. This closed in October 1987. Face lightly restored.
