Shedplate 26A Newton Heath 1935-September 1963, then recoded 9D with closure to steam in February 1968. This ex LYR shed had a 1950s allocation of 170 locos, the vast majority carrying this early LMS pattern code produced at Horwich. Of note were two of the four named Black 5s and 8 Jubilees. Lightly face restored.
