Original oil painting by Gerald Broom of RAF Avro Lancaster Squadron KMC which was No. 44 Squadron, a bomber command unit originally on Hampdens, converting to the Lancaster in early 1941 and flying the first operational missions on type in March of that year. It was one of only two squadrons to operate continuously throughout the war and was renamed 44 (Rhodesia) Sqn in 1941. Oil on board and framed, painting measures 17in x 12in.
